Duality of additive codes.

J. Borges, C. Fernández

Abstract. We study duality of additive codes. Given two nonequivalent binary

additive codes, it is possible that they have the same binary

additive dual code. This is a consequence of the fact that the

same binary code can have more than one additive structure. An

interesting case is that of the duals of the Hamming and extended

Hamming codes.

Key words. additive codes, dual codes, simplex codes.
